Welcome to https://www.beingwood.co.uk (“Website”), operated by BeingWood (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a stay or hiring our venue, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Overview
These Terms apply to all bookings and use of our pop-up campsite and venue located at Being Wood.
By booking or using the site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and our policies.
2. Bookings
2.1 How to Book
Bookings can be made via our Website or by contacting us directly. Confirmation is sent via email once payment is received.
2.2 Group Bookings
If you are booking on behalf of a group, you are responsible for ensuring all members comply with these Terms.
2.3 Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

We accept secure payments via [Stripe / PayPal / bank transfer].

Prices are listed in GBP and include VAT (where applicable).
3. Cancellations & Refunds
3.1 Campsite Bookings

Up to 14 days before arrival: full refund minus a £10 admin fee.

Less than 14 days: no refund unless we can rebook your pitch.
3.2 Venue Hire

Up to 30 days before event: 50% refund.

Less than 30 days: no refund.

Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in writing.
3.3 Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to severe weather, safety concerns, or operational reasons. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or alternative dates.
4. Site Rules
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, you agree to the following:

Check-in/out times: stated on your booking confirmation.

Noise curfew: quiet hours from 10:30pm to 7:00am.

Fires & BBQs: permitted only in designated areas.

Litter: this is a no trace site, take waste with you.
-
Pets: must be kept under control at all times.

Children: must be supervised at all times.

Vehicles: parking in designated areas only.
We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave immediately for serious or repeated breaches of site rules, without refund.
5. Venue Hire Terms
If you are hiring the site for a private event (e.g. wedding, retreat, gathering), additional conditions apply:

Insurance: hirers are responsible for obtaining any necessary insurance, licences, or permissions.

Noise/music: must comply with local regulations and cease by agreed time.

Set-up/pack-down: must occur within agreed timeframes.

Damages: you will be liable for any damage to land, equipment, or facilities caused during your hire.
A separate hire agreement may be issued outlining specific terms for your event.
6. Liability & Responsibility

You use the site at your own risk.

We are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

We are not responsible for injuries or accidents unless caused by our negligence.

You are responsible for the safety and behaviour of yourself, your group, and any children or pets under your care.
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including weather, pandemic restrictions, or natural disasters.
8. Privacy
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Your data will only be used to manage your booking and communicate with you.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
